Laughter, joy, love… It is something that lasts forever, that can’t be blurred by the passing time… It is kept like a precious file in a forgotten edge of our heart… A white kid and another black one are building a castle in the sand. It is their own castle. The castle which protects their friendship. This unique feeling, that connects them with a special bond, bigger than the continents of this world. That’s what friendship is: something simple, but unique. It is a flower growing in the spring in the steep mountainsides. It is a white dove, flying above the rough sea. Η ισότητα και η διαφορετικότητα αποτελούν θεμελιώδη δικαιώματα για όλους, ανεξαιρέτως, τους ανθρώπους. Άλλα βασικά ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα είναι το δικαίωμα στη ζωή, την εκπαίδευση, την ελευθερία λόγου και έκφρασης, την ασφάλεια του ατόμου, την ανεξιθρησκία και την ελευθερία συνείδησης και συμμετοχής στα κοινά. Με τον όρο ισότητα αναφερόμαστε στην έννοια της ίσης μεταχείρισης των ατόμων, δηλαδή όλοι οι άνθρωποι θα πρέπει να έχουν ίσα πολιτικά, οικονομικά, κοινωνικά και αστικά δικαιώματα. Η ισότητα διαχωρίζεται σε τέσσερις τύπους: μεταξύ προσώπων ή οντολογική, των ευκαιριών, των συνθηκών και του αποτελέσματος ή σκοπού. Ως πιο γενικευμένη έννοια, μπορεί να αναφέρεται στην ισότητα έναντι των νόμων, ανάμεσα στα κοινωνικά φύλα, την φυλετική και την κοινωνική ισότητα . Ως διαφορετικότητα ορίζουμε τα στοιχεία εκείνα, που διαφοροποιούν ένα άτομο και ίσως ορισμένες φορές δυσκολεύουν την ομαλή ένταξή του σε μια κοινωνική ομάδα.
