SOCIETY & CULTURE CRITIC Magazine | January ‘084 WOMENANDTHEIR“MODERN”RIGHTS here is a women-rights crisis in Pakistan; from abusive chauvinists and cultural adulterations of religion to slow, outdated, useless judicial process and legal system-the plight is endless. Fortunately, there are people who genuinely care. Unfortunately, there are also people who apparently do but factually don t-and these are the people/NGO s funded by foreign donor agencies having ratified U. N. s CEDAW. Their operations in Pakistan will only serve to replace one kind of evil with another, and worse. Any person who believes prostitution and abortion is a woman s right, is not a woman s friend. We could disclose their identities, but wont. You can see for yourself who these people are. These are the people who talk about "safe sex" practices in "Red-Light zones" and consider semi-nude parading of their kind in the name of "fashion", "arts", and "culture" as "liberating", "empowering", and "modernizing

THE CONFUSION THAT IS DIVIDING US …? By Omar Javaid, Sr. Editor, CRITIC Magazine The cry to unite Muslims is as old as the disease of sectarianism in Islam. This issue has always been a hot topic of debate among the intellectuals of the Muslim world. Various reasons are spoted, numerous solutions are proposed, but the reality remains unchanged, probably because the answers provided are rather unrealistic, utopian or may be so grandiose or broad in nature that their accomplishment seems beyond the reach of human capacity. Though contrary is a fact of life i. e. change always starts from a single step, from the very micro to macro. It’s a bottom-up process and that’s exactly how any strategy to unite should be formulated. Keeping this in view it’s imperative to realize that the change or unison of masses should starts right from the very individual. Each individual’s psychological framework holds the key to the question of division as his believes, his perceptions, his world view

Process Oriented Approach A Competitive Advantage in the light of Quranic Philosophy By, Omar Javaid, Sr. Editor, CRITIC Magazine PRELUDE In this discussion, we intend to hypothesize that process oriented approach is a major competitive advantage as comp approach. We will try to test this hypothesis in the light of best practices and experience of various top tier business orga thinkers, and as our legacy proclaims, we will see how Quranic Philosophy highlights th Study of Quran clearly indicates that Islam demands actions, this fact becomes very much evident when we see duty is to warn and inform the people only: Say: "Obey Allah, and obey the placed on him and ye for that placed on you. If ye obey him, ye shall be on right guidance. The messenger s duty is (Message) (Surah Al-Nour, verse 54). Furthermore it’s also good he does, and against him whatever evil he does These verses (and many others) lay down ample emphasis describing inaction to be the determinant of failure, worldl

Organizational Success Secrets By Omar Javaid Study of history of thriving civilizations, cultures or social movements lead us to some exciting conclusions about their secrets of prosperity. These secrets when exposed, adds to our astonishment and delight as they are common among history of various civilizations and to some extent we are already aware of them but probably in a different context. Whether we compare civilizations or organizations existing parallel in time or at different eras in history, the same commonality seems to prevail. Let it be Roman Empire, or Islamic civilization thriving for hundreds of years or let it be some modern business organizations such as Semco SA or Toyota etc. In this article we will focus on these underlying factors, how they have been followed by different social civilizations and various organizations (i. e. a social system which also operates on similar patterns as that of social civilizations). We will see the significance of these princi

SLAMIC CONCEPT OF MANAGEMENT Management today is defined as “getting things done through others. ” Following this concept, a Manager is now understood as the person who works through others. A good manager, therefore, is a person who not only knows what is to be done but exactly how to get it done. The Holy Quran confirms: [43:32] “…We raise some of them above others in ranks, so that some may command work from others. . . ” This Ayat reveals in a nutshell as to why God raised some people over others in ranks, that being, that they can get work done from them. This Ayat (43:32) encompasses the entire philosophy and wisdom of modern management. It emphasizes, in essence, the creation of appropriate hierarchies and the division of responsibilities subject to individual capabilities. It basically implies the creation of organizational charts from the top management to the lower management.
