In the context of money, Jesus says “No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. ” Enslaved by greed, covetousness or lust for power is condemning. The axiom of having two masters holds principle validity in all contexts. Commonly understood by Christians, drug abuse, alcoholism, pornography and habitual fornication are all addictions to be avoided. Slightly less common agreement comes with the use, or rather abuse, of tobacco. And, what is least commonly understood is being brought under the power of caffeine.
