E bellissima. È una costruzione moderna. Ci sono aule grandi colorate e luminose e noi siamo molto contenti. In primavera potremo giocare nel nostro nuovo giardino e correre sull erba. J On January 8TH we inaugurated the new school of Ponte San Lorenzo. It s wonderful! It s a modern building. There are big, bright and coloured classrooms and we are very happy! In spring we will able to play in our new garden and run on the grass. The partnership is among primary schools from different countries such as Italy,
Austria, Hungary, Spain, Poland and England.

The Primary school of Narni take part in the Comenius Project since 2010. The partnership is among primary schools from different countries such as Italy, Austria, Hungary, Spain, Poland and England. During the two year of the project all the schools stayed continuosly in touch. The students send e-mails each other, they sent the secret parcels with presents twice a year and are presently working togehter to realize a joint book of traditional stories. At the same time the teachers have meetings in each country to compare and exchange their projects and ideas. The 4th meeting has been held in Hungary on Sepember 2011 and the Italian group taught a traditional medieval dance to the Hungarian pupils Next meeting will be held in Italy from the 20th -24th February 2012 .

Hello from Italy, May was a special month. On 1st it was May Day, though unfortunately this year it was on Sunday. On 8th it was Mother s Day and children gave their mothers greetings cards, flowers and presents. Every year on May 3rd we celebrate our Patron Saint Giovenale. This is a great event for our towncause for two weeks we can live again the ancient athmosphere of Middle Age. The squares, the narrow streets, the buildings are adorned with flags of different colours representing the three parts in which Narni was divided. During this period there are shows recalling the past time and important historical parades in 13th century costumes. You can also watch art exhibitions and have a meal out in some local restaurants called “osterie” where you can enjoy typical medieval dishes. The celebrations end with a horse contest, called“Corsa all anello” where the lancers of the three adversary parts must thread some rings. We love this feast because in this period Narni is livel
