The building will provide a new customer contact reception for all Council services. As part of the refurbishment, changes to the building will be made to reduce the

Kent County Council has £20m of public funds available, and is hoping to attract a further £23m of private money, to improve broadband speeds throughout the County. Sevenoaks District Council is encouraging communities with slow internet connections to register their support by voting. The greater the demand, the more broadband providers will invest. The new sculptures, whose working titles are ‘Propella’ and ‘Captain Crayford’, will be funded by developers R&M Projects (Crayford) and Sainsbury’s as part of the Crayford Town Hall redevelopment. Artist Andy Scott is also the creator of the celebrated artwork ‘The Cob’ in Belvedere. He said: “I am absolutely delighted to have been appointed to carry out this exciting commission and can’t wait to get started. “I will do my best to honour the proud history and aspirations of Crayford and hope this new project meets with the same approval and praise from the community as ‘The Cob’. I’m delighted the local community is so passionate about it their support is fantastic. ” During the consultation res

Residents are being asked to put their bags out on their usual collection day by 7am, as a weekly Monday to Friday collection service will be provided throughout the holiday period. This includes collections on the bank holidays of Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 December and Monday 2 January. Bags should not be put out a day or more later as residents may have done so in the past. The Council’s garden waste collection service is also unaffected. Again customers should put their green bins and garden waste bags out on their usual day by 7am. Cllr Avril Hunter, the Council’s Cabinet Member for the Environment, says: “Our refuse collectors are going the extra mile this year by working throughout the festive period. This means o
