Amarillo—There is still time to register for the annual Diocesan Faith Formation Conference, scheduled Saturday, Aug. 6 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 South Washington, according to Sister Janet M. Abbacchi, SSND, Diocesan Coordinator of Faith Formation. “All catechists, Catholic school teachers, lectors, RCIA leaders and anyone and everyone involved in parish ministry are invited to attend,” she said. “We have planned an outstanding day of presentations and we’ll have a number of vendors showing off the newest in textbooks and teaching materials. ” Activities begin with registration at 8:30am in the Cathedral’s Monsignor Smyer Activity Center. The theme of this year’s conference is With a Faithful God— We make our Covenant. After Morning Prayer at 9am, Bishop Patrick J. Zurek will speak at 9:30, with a keynote address focusing on The WORD speaks—Catechists Listen.
