Yet one day remains as clear in my mind as this morning’s sunrise, although it happened those many centuries ago. — T. A. Barron, The Fires of Merlin Worry and gossip, the fastest travelers, faster than light perhaps. Rumors had came to Ariann saying that some cities of Emery were being taken over by Rylynna; and while there was no true confirmation of this, everyone was worried and very few doubted that it was not true. There had been one sort of conformation that had reached Ariann and it reached Caliseen. It hadn’t come by post but by an Elconton dragon, a white one whose looks match the white clouds on that beautiful day. It had come to sit on the railing of her balcony and it just waited for her to see it. Having a late night the day before, the animal had to wait for a while before she woke up. “Yes?” She said to the animal when she saw it sitting peacefully on the rai

She called for an Elconton dragon. It was only a minute later that the dragon arrived at the window in the plain office of the castle. “Um,” She said shocked at her own thoughts. “Is there a way you can find someone, someone that has disappeared altogether?” She asked it. The animal looked at her, curious. Where is Karthan when you need him? She asked herself. She knew what she wanted to do, but she knew that she shouldn’t. “If you want me to make it so you talk out loud to me, shake your head once. ” She said to the dragon. And it shook its head after some consideration. In a low whisper with a cautious sound Caliseen spoke, ”Howyn,” she first said to the animal, giving it comfort for she did not know what this might be like, “Haschair xo verrfown shatzershin. ”

The second dragon they had captured had died and along with it its human of whom it was bonded to. George looked at Rylynna, “I killed it. ” He said. He sounded so much like a child to her, too much; she feared he might break out in to a tantrum. She admitted that she wasn’t too happy at how the dragon had died. She had wanted to at least learn something from its death. But it seemed almost impossible to separate a human from a dragon once they were bonded. If only she could separate George from the animal, simply kill him, but with the amount of agony the dragon would go through it would also kill the dragon, which was not acceptable. Rylynna turned to Verthon, “Take him away. ” She said with disgust.

Before she was even fully awake she remembered that night, and when her eyes adjusted she expected to be on the grass in the city but she wasn’t. She saw Galahad’s aged face that looked almost deathly pale with worry, “What happened?” Her voice was sharp. “You passed out, after you did one of the stupidest things yet. ” He glared. “How did I get here?” She asked in an angry voice ignoring his insult. “Parthus followed you and brought you here when you passed out. ” Confusion showed. “Why did he follow me?” She asked, unsure. “You

The people that had grown up on this strange island never knew that it was, in fact, strange. They had simply believed that there was no other place on earth, that they were the only place on earth. But on a fateful day a ship wrecked along the shores of Veradisk, in a country known as Emery, and that wrecked ship would change all of what the people of Veradisk knew of their world. The people that landed in Emery, the Vositays, knew not of where they had crashed and since they were not near any sings of life they simply began to make a new life there and plot for a way home. One of the Vositays had not fallen so quickly to believe that this was just any normal place, for she had heard

He had medium skin color neither dark nor white; he also had black hair and empty black eyes. He was fair in looks at first glance, but his outward appearance seemed to grow on you as you began to learn what was under the skin; at least this was so with Caliseen. “Have you seen the indoor city?” He asked lightly. “Yes,” She sighed, “But even though there is grass as its streets like your home, it doesn’t give the same peaceful strength about it. There are no parts of it that bring a certain identity to this place. You have so many rooms, but barely any are filled. This place could be so much more. ” “You should talk to the council and con

She softly smirked, but her smirk disappeared as she recognized his name. But yet she couldn’t place it. It was almost as if there was a shadow blocking that part of her memory; but that is most likely because there was a shadow blocking her mind and protecting Karthan. Lynna shook her head at the thought of knowing the name as she looked more closely at Karthan. If she had more time in this place perhaps . . . but there was no point to think about such wishes, but maybe there was some time — “Do you have plans tonight?” She asked smiling again. “I’m sorry, but I do. ” Karthan said his eyes distant; and the truth was that he didn’t have plans, but he had no such wish of company

Most people exist, that is all. — Oscar Wilde Feeling weak and like a child, Caliseen was sitting on the ground in the forest, there was no grass where she sat, but this was not a moment she cared about such things. Because of the word that had been found in the Leteron Galahad no longer showed any signs of anger, but instead he seemed out of it, his thoughts were far and distant, and even when he was talking to the elves council he wasn’t really there and it showed. Caliseen felt sick like she was about to lose her life, or worse a life of a loved one. Karthan didn’t know how to act; he knew to an extent what the word meant but still he didn’t know its full power. The truth of this matter is that they all took something that should simply be treated cautiously and turned it into a monster. And that is the plot of the story, or the byline. Because beyond everything that happens in this story, t

Their journey was simple, they barely stopped anymore. They would simply ride. It seemed that everyone was partly disappoint to have to leave Ariann. To them it seemed like it would be about a year or more until they would once again be able to set foot there, but then you never really know what is to happen, especially in Veradisk. The change in climate when they entered the desert was dramatic. The horses reacted to it; they were much wearier of the heat and refused to go at their normal speed. And so it took much longer to travel through the dessert as it should. But one day they found themselves in the exact middle, or at least it seemed so. “How long must we wait?” Caliseen said irritable. The journey had been hard on her, but

An tenth of the town has been lost to death; a few others had altogether gone missing. It seems much like the white plague. Many of them have lost too much blood to keep the hope of living. Something needs to be done!” The man declared. “Are you sure it is the white plague, there has never been such a situation where it traveled in such a contagious manner. ” Galahad asked him. “There are a few differences, but most of it matches. ” “The differences can point
