Autofocus AF910 The Quantum Composers Autofocus AF910 combines a proprietary optical configuration with flexible interface architecture to provide a robust autofocus for OEM applications utilizing infinity corrected objectives. The AF910 can be used on most surfaces: • Low and high reflectivity • Specular and diffuse • Transparent and opaque Includes patterned surfaces such as TFT arrays, semiconductors and PCBs. The AF910 provides various interface options: • RS 232 • Analog output • Step/ Direction motor drive control • In focus, in range status, edge detect status An optional interface adapter may be included which allows for custom electrical interfaces. The sensor I/O signals can be broken out into separate connectors, allowing for integration into existing systems. Serial communications provides configuration, status and control of the sensor. The sensor can store up to 7 configurations, each optimized for a different objective. Quantum Composers, Inc. P. O. Box 4248 Boze

QuantumComposers. com Test & Measurement • Electro-Optics • Timing • Lasers • Micromachining Multiplexing: Model 9520 Digital Delay | Pulse Generator A common request among Digital Delay and Pulse Generator users is the ability to sum outputs on a single channel to create even more diverse pulse trains. The model 575 successfully achieves this function with the Mux feature described below. Using the Output Multiplexer: Each output channel includes a multiplexer which allows routing any or all of the timer outputs to the physical output. This allows double pulses and other complex pulse trains to be generated. H G F E DC B A Mux: -0 0 0 0 1 1 1 1 The multiplexer is represented by a n bit binary number as shown above. n is the number of channels. Each bit represents a channel timer, which is enabled by setting the bit to one. In the above example,

Application Note Title: Individual Channel Rates Revision #: 1. 00 Scope: This application note explains how a user can produce outputs of different rates from a Quantum Composers pulse generator by utilizing the ‘Duty Cycle’ mode. Two different approaches will be explained; the first is a quick and dirty process that allows a novice user to get the correct setup, while the second approach goes into greater detail about the math behind the process. Body: This application note is written with the assumption that the user understands the basic features and functionality of the Quantum Composers pulse generators. If after reading this app note there is confusion on how to access and adjust such features as Period, Duty Cycle, the number of On/Off pulses or how to verify the output rate for each channel feel free to contact Quantum Composers technical support. 1st Approach Set the To Period of pulse generator to 1us. Set channel mode to ‘Duty Cycle’ with an ‘On’ pulse count of “1”. N
