tivity can offer in supporting these themes, but without national level recognition of this, we can only hope to be heard. Artsnet is part of the Cultural Partnership, a subgroup of the Manchester Partnership and has produced a limited print run of advocacy playing cards showing 52 examples of projects ranging from largescale activity promoting tourism to small arts companies enabling young people to find new skills, all delivered in the last 12 months. Between them they show how culture can stimulate community pride, encourage people to find new skills, draw in visitors, improve our health and make our communities safer and brighter places to live. The case studies are not definitive, nor exhaustive. We know there’s huge amounts of activity out there which is not known Artsnet Update 1 News 2 Events 3 Artsnet Members 4 Training News 7 Opportunities 8 inside this issue: about and plenty of work which could be featured, but it’s a start to catch the attention of those “hard to reach” groups, like government officers, politicians, strategists and policy makers. We see these cards as a catalyst to build upon over the next 12 months and to work in tandem with other advocacy activity. If you have a creative project which you think hits the four target areas of the local area agreement, please tell us!. We will be developing our website to show case studies of the work being delivered and will use this newsletter to feature projects in more depth. Large print versions of the cards are also available, please contact Artsnet for more info.
