Simultaneously energy shortages, co2 emissions and the congestion in cities are some of the most critical issues we all have to take into consideration. Vehicle manufacturers, operators, cities and legislators already strongly contribute to the global reflexion on these issues, aiming at developing optimized and efficient vehicles and transport systems solutions to respond to both increasing economic demands and sustainable development issues. the first edition of the truck & bus World Forum will focus on “transport for a better life”. it will bring together a global assembly of international professionals in an open forum to exchange cutting-edge strategies and technical information, in addition to addressing industry issues and challenges to find business solutions all the while developing better transport solutions for a better life. the forum will have presentations from 60-65 senior level executives that will focus on subtopics related to: goods distribution and the first steps towards intelligent trucks, public transport in urban areas, paying the mobility, economics & strategies for sustainable transport solutions. it will also include conferences dedicated to the american and asian truck and bus markets. the round tables and the discussions will enable the following: - Point out the global environment of the truck & bus industries and what is at stake. - the analysis and strategies that all stakeholders may share. - the analysis and strategies where the stakeholders may have different points of view. - reflexions on the next steps to the development of better transport solutions. The Truck & Bus World Forum Team Organisers The Truck & Bus World Forum is co-organised by the rhône-alpes region, grand Lyon and Drire, together with the support of the rhône-alpes automotive Cluster, the Lyon Urban Truck & Bus 2015 cluster and automotive sweden cluster. it is coordinated by erai which is the local trade commission office. The forum also associates 3 key international strategic partners: the society of automotive engineers (Usa), global insight (Usa) and the China automotive review (China). iTs Congress association, known for the organization of the “iTs World and european Congresses” is also fully supporting and participating in the forum. all the other allied & media partners bring in their respective added value to the forum, also favouring networking opportunities.
