British Internet Company to Go on Acquisition Trail
UK ISP Supanet defies the credit crunch and announces acquisition strategy for
technology companies.
England, UK, April 01, 2009 -- UK internet service provider (ISP) Supanet today
announced plans to acquire telecommunications and technology companies in a bid to
expand its customer base.
The firm has stated that having built up a solid business across a range of
technologies, it is now seeking to grow through acquisitions.
Following a successful history of mergers and acquisitions, Supanet is targeting
technology companies that may be reassessing their position or possibly looking to
exit as the economic situation tightens its grip.
Managing Director at Supanet, Steve Smart, said: "Many companies are feeling the
pressure as the recession takes hold.
"We are in the fortunate position of being able to make strategic acquisitions as
we move to grow our current portfolio.
"We are open to discussions with all technology companies, with particular
attention to small ISPs, voice solution providers and telephony resellers," he
said.
Commitment to customers will remain at the forefront of their priorities Supanet
explained, making the transition as smooth as possible for customers of the
companies acquired without losing focus or affecting the experience of its own
client base.
