Portland Sustainable Business practices, platinum LEED building and energy
efficiency are explored in a new entertaining video by the Portland s regional
chamber of commerce, the Portland Business Alliance.
Portland, OR, May 15, 2009 -- The Portland Business Alliance s board chair, Steve
Holwerda, shows how being sustainable is good for business.
Holwerda, who is Chief
Operating Officer of Ferguson Wellman Capital Management, is on a quest to learn
how sustainability is not just good for the planet, but good for the bottom line.
"Sustainability is more than being green for the sake of being green; it is about
what is good for business in terms of cost savings, waste management and doing more
with less," said Steve Holwerda, Alliance board chair.
"Through this video, we hope
to show that there are many ways for businesses across industry sectors to be
sustainable.
