program to include new aspects of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
New York, NY, June 11, 2009 -- The Edcomm Group Banker?s Academy has made immediate
updates to its Human Resources (HR) Compliance training program to include new
aspects of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The HIPPAA topic in Focus on
HR Compliance has been updated to include this new information as part of Edcomm
Banker?s Academy?s commitment to providing its clients with the most up-to-date,
accurate information.
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, also known as the Stimulus Package, now
places the same security requirements on business associates as covered entities.
The Act now requires notification of security breaches in which protected health
information is exposed.
The updates were signed into law on February 17, 2009, and
will become effective on February 17, 2010.
