The PEPY Ride, an educational non-profit based in Siem Reap Province, announces its
partnership with Dubai Cares to build three new schools in Cambodia.
Siem Reap, Cambodia, February 11, 2009 -- The PEPY Ride, an educational non-profit
based in Siem Reap Province, announces its partnership with Dubai Cares to build
three new schools in Cambodia.
With organizational help from PEPY, the Dubai based
charity is funding the construction of the primary schools in Chanleas Dai Commune.
Once complete, the schools will be operated by the local district office of
education, which will provide the administration, teachers, and classroom
curricula.
The new schools will provide easy access to a safe learning environment for
hundreds of students.
Currently, many primary students are either studying in
crumbling, unsafe buildings, or commuting long distances on foot or bike to the
nearest school each day.
