Celestine Publishing announced the publishing of its fifth book in the Principles
with Promise series; this time a concordance cataloging more than eight hundred
principles found in The Doctrine and Covenants of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints.
Raleigh, NC, January 31, 2009 -- Celestine Publishing (celestinepublishing.
com)
announced the release of Principles with Promise: The Doctrine and Covenants of The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
This book is the fifth in a series of
scriptural concordances that focus on different text considered as holy writ from
God by practitioners of various religions.
"This edition of Principles with Promise is as unique as is The Doctrine and
Covenants itself is; being a collection of modern day revelations received by
various prophets in this day and age.
They are timeless principles believed and
practiced by Latter-day Saints, but they are not considered ancient records; they
were received in our day,? commented its author, Vincent DiGirolamo.
This volume captures hundreds of principles, associated references, and promises
found primarily in a subset of Latter-day Saint scripture called The Doctrine and
Covenants.
It also includes The Articles of Faith and excerpts from Joseph Smith
History which are similarly held as modern day scripture by Latter-day Saints but
are part of another volume called The Pearl of Great Price.
The Principles with Promise series currently includes separate concordances for
Latter-day Saints, Catholics, and most other Christian denominations who value the
Bible as its primary text.
DiGirolamo went on to explain, ?The series will also
include future volumes that catalog principles considered to be true by several
other religions that practice outside of the Biblical text.
? He has already begun
work cataloging principles from The Noble Qu?ran held to be true by people of the
Muslim faith; scheduled for release later this year.
?Through this series, I hope to foster increased acceptance and understanding
between people of different religious persuasions.
However, if I am the only one
who benefits by this exercise, then my goal has already yielded its sweet fruit.
I
have observed people of many faiths having rich spiritual experience with God, but
also noticed that those experiences sometimes lead them to believe they have access
to the only truth available to mankind and that theirs is the only way.
?
DiGirolamo continued, ?What I believe is really happening is that we are simply
experiencing the God given promises associated with these universal truths; the
ones that we have, live and exercise faith in that are true.
? The Principles with
Promise series seeks to identify principles held as truth and taught in each
religion, because the series was built on the foundation of the following principle
found in The Doctrine and Covenants.
?There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this
world, upon which all blessings are predicated? And when we obtain any blessing from
God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated.
? D&C 130:20-21
?That?s what makes the release of this volume in the series special; being
considered the capstone of Latter-day Saint scripture, it is also the secret sauce
behind the Principles with Promise series,? DiGirolamo concluded.
Principles with Promise: The Doctrine and Covenants of The Church of Jesus Christ

In addition to the Principles with Promise series, DiGirolamo is also author of On
