Fundraising Small Firms Urged o Maximise PR Potential
Small firms that carry out fundraising are helping charities and raising their own
profile, says Debbie Leven, director of Profile Matters and expert contributor to
Marketing Donut, the essential marketing website for SMEs.
Bristol, UK, March 20, 2009 --Small businesses that support good causes such as
Comic Relief are demonstrating how they can raise money for charity and raise their
own profile at the same time, say marketing experts.
With Comic Relief 2009 raising over £57 million this year, smashing its previous
total, businesses have demonstrated that they will support good causes even during
a recession.
Comic Relief is supported by big corporate names such as the BBC, Sainsburyâd s, TK
Maxx and BT, but it is also the fundraising efforts of many smaller businesses that
have helped to contribute to this record-breaking total, along with the efforts of
individuals, schools and organisations up and down the UK.
