Inclusions Fall 2009 Improvising in Ecuador By Rita Idrovo-Sinclair As Evan’s graduation creeps closer, I have been reflecting how The Children’s School staff, administration, principal, teachers, and aides became my dearest allies – wow – almost a decade ago. Lorraine Boyhan and Artie Mattia, with their genuine caring and educational leadership, along with my then pre-K daughter’s teaching staff, which included Steve, Margaret, Ms. Yolanda, Ms. Rita and Mr. C, gave me the comfort one normally finds only among family members and close friends. They eased my worries when the time came for my first child, Carla, to form her own friends and agenda. Now, Evan and I are preparing to part from this accustomed warmth.
