They conquered it after landing in the early 16th century as merchants.
Panaji and
Vasco da Gama are two main cities with former as capital and latter as largest city.
Goa has
many spots to visit like the Bom Jesus Cathedral, Fort Aguada, Goa State Museum, and The
Naval Aviation Museum, wax museum on Indian history, Goa Science Center, the National
Institute of Oceanography (NIO), old churches and heritages in old Goa.
Goa enjoys diversity in festivals as per religions and every year it hosts different fairs and
