Local photographer Phil
McMenemy has been
awarded the Scottish
Nature Photography
Award 2010 Natural
Abstract Prize.
Phil says; “As I hope you can
imagine I am chuffed to bits and
so proud.
It continues to be an
amazing journey I am having with
my photography (and my life!).
”
“The image (below) is one of those
which I’ve had in my head for a few
years and I was fortunate on this
occasion for everything to come
together to create the final image
– it was one of those drooling
moments, which as an artist don’t
come along too often.
”
“Seeing the competition my image
was up against in this Award
makes me feel humble, grateful
and gives me a real sense of
acknowledgement
for my endeavours
– things like this
make my work so
worthwhile.
