Sparring Partners... young heroes waiting in the wings!
In what should prove to be a major boost to school sport in Nelson Mandela Bay, Sport Elizabeth is proud to announce that we have entered into partnership with Spar Eastern Cape to extend our iconic Homegrown Hero Sports Awards to now also include recognition of the very best efforts of our school-going athletes, via a feature that will henceforth be known as the Homegrowing Hero of the Month award. As is the case with the senior Homegrown Hero of the Month award, we will, each month, in this publication nominate the school-going sportsman or woman whom we believe has turned in the most noteworthy sporting accomplishment during that month. An interview with each monthly winner as well as an article detailing their achievement will be published in Sport Elizabeth and an overall Homegrowing Hero of the Year award will be made at the same glittering, annual Awards Dinner where the senior Homegrown Hero of the Year is named.
