With this project we intended to make a study about the use of internet inside the school system. The research is divided in three main parts: the use of the internet in the classroom; the role of the executive board in the implementation and management of the internet; the role of the pedagogic board in its use. We developed this study in the schools with secondary education in the municipality of Alcobaça. We verified that students use the internet mainly to search for information in order to develop their projects, as well as to communicate with each other or with their teachers. As for the teachers, they use the internet to search for materials that may help them to prepare their lessons and also to communicate with their pairs or with their pupils. One of the teachers main concerns is the possibility of plagiarising that internet makes available to everyone.
